Bringing Hope and Relief after Hurricane Katrina/Rita |
|
PRAYER:
Please remember the hundreds of thousands of people who have
been effected by the disaster brought about by Hurricanes
Katrina and Rita. Thousands are without electricity and shelter.
Many do not currently have avenues to get food except from the
disaster response kitchens. Thousands have lost their
homes and livelihoods. Many have lost loved ones.
Our brothers and sisters have been hit hard. Please
remember them in your prayers. |
|
Donations:
You can make a credit card donation to Church World Service
through the Festival of Sharing Emergency Fund. The money
will be sent directly to Church World Service designated for
Hurricane Katrina/Rita Disaster Relief and Recovery. The money will
be used for immediate relief and for the long term recovery
which will take years.

HEALTH AND CLEAN-UP
KITS:
Invite members of your congregation, Sunday School
classes, youth groups, and men's and women's groups to put together
Health Kits and Clean-up Kits (Buckets). They are badly
needed now and will be needed later on to replace the
kits that are moving out of our warehouses. If
you scroll down you will find the items that must be included in
the Health Kits and Clean-up Kits. If you get the kits
together early you may take them to the regional Festival of
Sharing Ingatherings.
the full schedule of early Festival of Sharing Ingatherings.
You may also bring your kits to the Festival of Sharing in Sedalia
